The Christmas Glow

Twas the night before Christmas

And all through the house

We gathered round the tree

From many states

None too far

With not only our family

But also the friends who have grown

In our hearts

No state was too far

To feel the cheer

As we reminisced

And shared each special holiday cheer

We each carried in our hearts

Many say that Santa is not real

But this tis not true

Because Santa is not only a man in a red suit

With a long white beard

Santa is what we feel

Every time around this year

He is the warmth in our hearts

As we count the days till we can be home

To celebrate the warm holiday glow

With all our family and friends

He is the kindness we feel

All throughout our soul

Warmth and cheer

As we watch a small child

Experience their first snow

The warmth we feel as we sit

Around the fire aglow

Just smiling because our family and friends are near

This feeling we will carry

All year round

Each time we recall

Both an old and new Christmas memory

Waiting for the time

When more will be made

Till next Christmas my family and friends

Do not forget

The Christmas cheer can live all year round

Just let your heart feel it

And you will feel your heart and soul

Be set aglow with the warmth and love

From this time of year

Beautifully said, my dear. Definitely puts you in the spirit of the holiday season. It expresses my thoughts exactly. I wish you and your family and friends the Merriest Christmas and Happiest New Year possible. Take Care and stay warm, whether it be thanks to the fire you’re sitting around or the love in your heart. Love, Bobby
